  9. AmiComSys is a AMarquee client program which you use to send messages or
  10. files to other people on a tcp/ip-net - e.g Internet. 
  11.  
  12. Now you can say Hi! to your friends on the net, or just see if they are
  13. connected.
  14.  
  15. You can:
  16. * send text messages
  17. * send chat requests
  18. * send WEB-requests.
  19. * transfer files.
  20. * have a public chat (HotLine)
  21.  
  22. Future updates will include support for personal chat and more.

  26. AmiComSys requires amarquee.library v.45+ in LIBS:. Get it from
  27. the AMarquee-package - aminet:comm/net/AMarqueeX.xx.lha

  29. Note that the above only apply if your friends is using AmiComSys,
  30. and have an Amiga. ( An IBM-PC-version of AMarquee.library would
  31. be nice, or better a java class :-))

  48. BUGFIX: There could be a memory curruption with the Hotline, when long texts
  49. were sent. The maximum transmission length was set to low. hm :-( so the
  50. block was truncated.
  51. Thanks to Sonat Böler and Fredrik Zetterlund for helping me to track this
  52. bug down.
  53. NEW: NotifyArexx.amicomsys is now excuted with arg string
  54. 'loginname hostname dis/con/upd'
  55. NEW: Added Arexx Command SEND MSG/S CHAT/S WEB/S FILE/S USER TEXT, with
  56. which you can send messages and files through Arexx.
  57. Suggested by Scott Beardwood.
  58. NEW: Dropped support for AmiComSys version 1.14 and lower. This means
  59. that clients using version 1.14- won't be seen in the clientlist. For now
  60. they will see you. Therefore the gadtools version of AmiComSys is unsupported
  61. and should be removed from AmiNet & website.
  62. NEW: Added Arexx Command SET SELECTED <loginname>
  63. NEW: Added Arexx Command SET HOTLINE open/closed
  64. NEW: Modified the clientlist refresh to a smarter one.

  74. BUGFIX: The filerequesters now open the front most screen, if it's public.
  75. NEW: The sendFile tcp-server-port is now reused.
  76. BUGFIX: Message could open on any screen, even though they were not public.

  78. NEW: Removed the iconified-option in program settings. You may set this
  79. in the MUI-system-settings.
  80. NEW: Added Arexx command SEND FILE NAME. Where NAME is the filename of the
  81. file you want to send.
  82. NEW: Renamed chat-settings-tab to Windows.
  83. NEW: Added possible to specify what you want to be showed in the
  84. Message History under the Windows-tab.
  85. NEW: Added message requester public screen setting. And whether the
  86. screen the requester shall pop up on should be brought to front, or not.
  87. Default is front-most-screen and therefore not bring screen to front.
  88. NEW: Moved 'beep when new message' and 'Send confirmation' to
  89. Windows-Mess-requester tab.
  90. NEW: Added possibility to let the message requester close when you press
  91. the send-button in the requester. See Windows-Mess-requuester-tab. Disabled
  92. for unregistered users.
